Jesse’s attempt to hide his dark past

Spirit Wings blog April 4th, 2019

Jesse is fifteen and transplanted from New York to a school for spiritual warfare. Coming from a place of disfunction and abuse he finds it hard to hide his past from the other cadets, especially his dorm mates. When the dean of the school learns about the scars on his back, Jesse wants to crawl under a rock. There are plenty of rocks here in EastCliffe Colorado. (Fictional town in the Rocky Mountains).

Jesse is artistic and talented; he is also moody and can withdraw for days at a time. The two girls that have taken Jesse “under their wings”, Ruby and Destiny handle his quiet days differently. Destiny, being the oldest of the group, has lived in India with her missionary parents and dorky brother Jacob. Ruby is a professor’s daughter and has lived a sheltered life. All three youth are quite different from each other, yet they pull together by a common purpose: Learn the ways of Adonai and fight against the darkness.

On this day early in their first year at Spirit Wings Academy, Jesse has just yelled at the guys in his dorm. He forgot his shirt while in the shower room and the Israeli guy walks in to see the scars on Jesse’s back. Now Jesse is wiping his tears and getting the nerve to walk in to the bedroom and face the curiosity of his mates. It’s just been a few days on campus, he knew this happen, living with 5 guys in a dorm.

Ruby and Destiny have no clue what Jesse is dealing with, but Ruby tends to be very intuitive, and asks him very insightful questions. He surprises himself when he answers her honestly. Vulnerability is not something Jesse wants to experience. He has been hurt too many times.

How will Jesse deal with his roommates? Will he alienate himself and be lonely the whole school year? If the girls find out about his scars will they pull away and reject him. There are many wonderful things Jesse has experienced since he encountered the Living God. There are many things Jesse fears, yet he is going down this road and seeing where it may take him, and what it might do to change the difficult and painful life he has had thus far.

Final Fantasy

This is the post excerpt.

Types and Shadows in Final Fantasy XV

Can you see the salvation story in Final Fantasy XV only in some types and shadows. I will endeavor to bring them to light here.

Starting with when King Regis says “The decreed hour is come” – Galatians 4:4 But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law, In this King Regis is a “type” of Father God sending His son.

Ardyn the usurper is a shadow of Satan, a fallen archangel. Isaiah 14:13: For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: Ardyn clearly wants the throne . . .

Now lets talk about Lunafreya declaring “The King of Kings to drive the darkness from our stars”. King of Kings is only one person Jesus, (Yeshua): Revelation 19:16 And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, King Of Kings, And Lord Of Lords. Now, as for darkness, John 1: 1-4: In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men.

Next let’s look at the mention of “the blood price must be paid” by Bahamut, “will cost the life of the chosen”. Hebrews 9:22: And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission. Also John 1:29 : The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.

This is not the end of the story of salvation, nor is it complete, for the subject takes a lifetime to absorb. However, we can’t leave without mentioning “the King’s ascension.”   I Corinthians 15:20-22 But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept. For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead.  For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.

Walk Tall – humility is the call of Elohim

Bahamut – occult dark god

Leviathan – god of the proud, Job 41:1, Psalm 74:14, Psalm 104:26, Isaiah 27:1

So in conclusion, the greatest story ever told is Yeshua (Jesus) sent by a loving heavenly Father to redeem fallen man, and break the power of demons, life after death and eventually the whole earth free of evil and a home for Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

Also there is a matter of the bride . . . (Revelation 21:9) so lets look at the end:

And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.

And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.

And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.

And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.

He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.

But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

And there came unto me one of the seven angels which had the seven vials full of the seven last plagues, and talked with me, saying, Come hither, I will shew thee the bride, the Lamb’s wife.

And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and shewed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God,

Having the glory of God: and her light was like unto a stone most precious, even like a jasper stone, clear as crystal;

And had a wall great and high, and had twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels, and names written thereon, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel:

On the east three gates; on the north three gates; on the south three gates; and on the west three gates.

And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and in them the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.

And he that talked with me had a golden reed to measure the city, and the gates thereof, and the wall thereof.

And the city lieth foursquare, and the length is as large as the breadth: and he measured the city with the reed, twelve thousand furlongs. The length and the breadth and the height of it are equal.

And he measured the wall thereof, an hundred and forty and four cubits, according to the measure of a man, that is, of the angel.

And the building of the wall of it was of jasper: and the city was pure gold, like unto clear glass.

And the foundations of the wall of the city were garnished with all manner of precious stones. The first foundation was jasper; the second, sapphire; the third, a chalcedony; the fourth, an emerald;

The fifth, sardonyx; the sixth, sardius; the seventh, chrysolyte; the eighth, beryl; the ninth, a topaz; the tenth, a chrysoprasus; the eleventh, a jacinth; the twelfth, an amethyst.

And the twelve gates were twelve pearls: every several gate was of one pearl: and the street of the city was pure gold, as it were transparent glass.

And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it.

And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.

And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honour into it.

And the gates of it shall not be shut at all by day: for there shall be no night there.

And they shall bring the glory and honour of the nations into it.

And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb’s book of life.

Book One and parallels to Covid19 Pandemic

Ruby, Destiny, and Jesse are just starting out on the life-long journey to fight darkness

Spirit Wings –  The Academy (Book One) was published in 2011. As I was reading the audio book in my little closet studio, I realized there are quite a few parallels to the Covid19 Pandemic:

  1. The Great Crisis of April, in the book was a deliberate germ warfare.
  2. This germ contamination caused restriction of travel
  3. Also 3 months of food stored up was needed
  4. Graduations were canceled or limited
  5. It was referred to as a battle of endurance and survival
  6. Chaos in the nation mentioned
  7. Lawless and anarchy mentioned

Check out book one The Academy and see what parallels you find for your own life!

Jesse is quiet these days…

Now that Jesse is transplanted into the Rocky Mountains and surrounded by normal people, he finds normal scares him. Even though he is not sure what normal really looks like, he would really like to fit in. He enjoys a level of dignity that eluded him in his past. So many things threaten to steal his new found dignity, safety and his place at the academy.

Ruby hates it when Jesse is quiet, she takes it personally, and she simply worries too much. Jesse is grateful for Ruby’s attention and efforts to help him. She is the youngest of the group, but in many ways, she has the most confidence.

Destiny is a world traveler and it takes a lot for her to be worried. She tends to pull her other two friends back to center.

On this day at Spirit Wings Academy for spiritual warfare, Jesse has retreated into his own thoughts. Should he trust the girls and talk about his troubles? Will they treat him different if they know his dark past? He will have to think about a while before he acts.

Jesse lost in his thoughts

Jesse’s self image

Spirit Wings blog April 11th, 2019

This image of Jesse from when he was fifteen and just settling at Spirit Wings Academy, shows how he saw himself. In his young life, his dad had been a harsh disciplinarian, and also his dad was a drug user. His mother followed his dad like a puppy, happy go lucky and void of her own opinions.

Jesse see himself . . .

At this point, Jesse has survived three years of abuse at his uncle’s house, and several weeks on the streets. He was warm, fed and feeling somewhat safe for change. But he still feels like an outsider, street trash, someone people cross to the other sidewalk to avoid. In the mirror, Jesse can only see the scars, his pride gets in his way, and he ability to trust stops him from connecting.

Ruby ignores his hang-ups and treats him like a normal person, Jesse is really happy about that. Destiny, however, makes Jesse’s heart pound, and his brain turn to mush. Knowing that his best friend told him a prophesy to look for the red stone, and his destiny has him excited and scared at the same time.

Being able to hear Elohim (Hebrew for God) for himself is the most exciting thing to happen in his life to date. So, he will walk the line between being safe and reaching out to the girls. He has to see where knowing the God of the universe will take him and his wretched life so far. It will take all his energy just to show up for class and keep from running away. Therefore, he finds the need to stuff extra bacon in his pocket, incase hard times return.

Whimsical Analysis of K-Dramas

Family portraite Asian 001I am a K-Drama fan, I am not addicted or anything!

So, the lists below reflects what runs through my head as I watch, historical dramas, romcoms, and other K-Dramas. I have a few C-Dramas I like also, but that is another blog…

Below are my recollections of repeating elements.

Necessary elements:

Blooming trees

A rich young guy with anger issues but also very giving

A poor spunky girl who stays optimistic in adversity

Both lead characters are either orphans or lost at least one parent

Drinking scenes where everyone is cute, they say “Gan Bei!”

Optional elements:

Time travel and/or jumping ahead several years

They thought they were siblings, but they are not

Memory loss on one of the lead characters, so to forget the other lead character

An endearing butler/secretary/household servant

Really mean girls – students, mothers, fellow workers, love interest rivals

Clothes that have strange blocking shapes

Clothes that are all the same color- sweater, coat, scarf

Gender-bending for the sake of a job or getting into a school

Getting caught in the rain, or wandering miserably in the rain

Motorcycles, bicycles, expensive cars, mansions

Make-overs for a female lead, by male lead

Surprise hugs where female lead stands with big eyes and doesn’t hug back

Sudden fall, where male lead catches female- must be in slow motion

Someone carries someone else piggy-back

Plotting parents that are cruel and manipulative especially adopted parents

Lots of texting and cell phone calls, stuffed animals, sticky rice cakes or ramen

Someone gets slapped or if male; punched in the face

Did I miss anything?

My top favorite K-Dramas:

Descendants of the Sun

Boys over Flowers

Goblin: The Lonely and Great God

Redeeming the Dragon

Seraphim Dragon 02

Good news Christian dragon lovers! What if a creature associated with the devil could be redeemed? I contend that perhaps, and that’s a big perhaps, the word “seraphim” is referring to a dragon. I will put the scriptural references at the end of this blog. The word in Strong’s Concordance is #8314 fiery serpent or majestic being with 6 wings. Same word for both, hhhmmm? My next argument that the dragon could have an original divine holy purpose, is the fact that Satan has no power create anything original, he can only copy and pervert. So, as a creative person who likes fantasy I desire the dragon to be claimed out of being associated with the Fallen one only. What if Elohim (Hebrew for God) has a dragon/seraphim**** in the throne room saying “Holy, holy, holly” over and over again. Now if your hackles are up, your religious nerve may be hit! (Been there, done that.)

Clearly Satan is referred to as a dragon, but I wish to take back some stuff darkness has tried to claim for its own. The rainbow, for example, is a sign of Elohim’s covenant, not a political agenda symbol. Perhaps there is a negative and a positive dragon – not equal powers like Taoism, yin and yang.

At the very least we can give fantasy people a break if they have dragon stuff and not tell them it is all satanic. Some clearly are, and there is no need to convict people, our job is to love and point to Christ. Find creative ways to bring good news, perhaps mentioning the idea that a seraph may be a fiery serpent that worships day and night at the throne!

This is meant to be light hearted and playful, doctrine and right and wrong are unchanging, but we as Christians tend to throw away people groups as unredeemable or untouchable, or unteachable. We get uncomfortable and make excuses that we are untouched by darkness. Actually, we maybe untouched by Elohim’s love for said groups. (Thanks Shawn Bolz for teaching about loving people groups.)

Lastly, the verse that says abstain from all appearance of evil, I Thessalonians 5:22. Let’s think about our rigid legalistic tendencies and see if dragon-like creatures may be more than all evil, let’s see what untouched people groups we can love into the Kingdom while we are at it.

Now, could some artists draw some pretty dragons? Some that don’t look like they want to eat me? That would be nice…

References to fiery serpents, seraphim:

Isaiah 6: 3,6 ( Good dragon!)

Isaiah 30:6 (Bad dragon!)

Numbers 21:6,8 (Bad and good some what!)

Deuteronomy 8:15 (Fiery serpents and scorpions, not good!)

Revelation 4:8 ( the throne room and creature with 6 wings) ****

Eat the Scroll

Good stuff…

Ezekiel 3:1-3, Psalm 119:101-103, Jeremiah 15:16

I seem to have to always be reminded of this fact but it’s always so impactful every time it hits me. Reading the scripture really changes your mindset and your heart posture, drastically actually! For example when I would think about finances or circumstances having to deal with money my natural reaction would be to have anxiety but then I started reading multiple bible verses on God’s provision. Now when I think of money I actually feel hope and joy in how God can provide. It’s because I chose to dedicate my quiet time to consistently and repetitively consuming the promises God has already given me through the word and these promises don’t expire. Matthew 6:25-34 was at first not very impactful for me but the more I read it the more I felt faith well up in my heart. (Jn. 7:38) I started…

The Two Legged Stool

As promised here is my blog called “The two legged stool”.

Have you ever noticed a public prayer where the person prays to Jesus, in the name of Jesus? This leaves the Father out completely. It is my comparison to a two legged stool. The acknowledgement of the Holy Spirit and Jesus is common in public prayers, but how often is the Father left out?
If you went to the courts of heaven and saw the two thrones, it would be clear that you should address both and not ignore the other. Proper protocol is respectful and all things should be done intentionally and not sloppy. What is my point? Jesus came to earth as a man to reveal the Father and declare the Kingdom of Elohim.
John 16:23-24
And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you. Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.
Jesus loves the Father and only does what he sees the Father do. It grieves Him if we leave the Father out of minds and hearts.
John 5:19-23
Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise. For the Father loveth the Son, and sheweth him all things that himself doeth: and he will shew him greater works than these, that ye may marvel. For as the Father raiseth up the dead, and quickeneth them; even so the Son quickeneth whom he will. For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son: That all men should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father. He that honoureth not the Son honoureth not the Father which hath sent him.
It may be that here in the West we have an orphan spirit and are disconnected with our fathers, both earthly and heavenly.
So in conclusion I would like to propose we purposely plan to pray to the Father in the name of Son, and ask the Holy Spirit to guide our words. Now that’s a three legged stool you can, stand, rest or to up higher on. . .

Next time a blog called, “Its all Greek to me and it should be Hebrew!”

Chaos and the Anchor

The chaos that is growing in our world today has invaded many arenas; politics, financial markets, religion, and gender definitions for example. This chaos can easily envelop our mind, will, and emotions as well.
Hope is the anchor of the soul (Hebrews 6:19 KJV). Also, Psalms 91 is very pertinent to the times we live in. We have the option of anchoring all things in Yeshua that they will hold fast, our finances, our well-being, our families, our very identities can be anchored. We cannot be swayed with every news alert and drop in the stock market.
So let’s anchor down and enjoy the ride!

August 2 2015

It’s all Greek to me, and it should be Hebrew!

The name Jesus, could any name be more important? Why then do we still use the name Jesus when we have the pure Y’shua, (Yeshauh, Yeshua) the Hebrew name spoken by the disciples and His mother Mary? When the Old Testament said, “God is Salvation” it was “Yahweh is Yeshuah” in Hebrew.
In the Strong’s concordance Jesus #2424 is Iesous word origin in Hebrew is 03091(Yeshuwa- Salvation Strong’s # 03444 mentioned 77 times in Old Testament is just one variation of the name Salvation-Yeshuah.) Genesis 49:18 in the KJV: I have waited for thy salvation, O Lord. I have waited for Your Yeshuah, O Yahweh. Isn’t that a perfect truth? How can the Jewish people find Messiah in Jesus? But Yeshuah, there is meaning there! Jesus is not even close to the Greek word Iesous (ee-ay-sooce -phonetic pronunciation).
How did the Greek Iesous get turned into Jesus? Google it! I liked the Arabic English New Testament by Netzari Press commentary on page 1055.
On the same note we use Jehovah, there is no “j” in Hebrew, it’s a “y” – Yehovah.
So let us talk about the Greeks, they contributed wonderful things to the world, literature, and architecture for example. But the influence of Stoicism to Christianity has had its impact on our thinking and mindset. Taking the emotional element out of the Bible and our Christian walk leave us with dead religion, YUCK!
Many churches and speakers are now using Yeshua over Jesus, it is my hope we all take the pure Hebrew names and loose the Greek! We love you Greece, but my God is Hebrew . . .
Next time I will step on the toes of the use of many who use cross over execution stake, I know you can’t wait !
